Description

The Siemens QRB1B-A048B70B flame sensor, in conjunction with an automation unit, monitors the presence of a yellow flame in the visible light spectrum when burning liquid fuel. It is designed for use in intermittently operating burners. It is equipped with a cable with protective thermal insulation for connection to automation systems. It is characterized by high sensitivity. It is completed with a special soft insert that facilitates installation on the burner.

More about the QRB1..B model

The flame sensor is assembled in a small housing to which a two-core cable with insulation made of thermoplastic material (PVC) is connected. The end of the cable is stripped and equipped with a tip.

The device is completed with a soft polymer insert, which simplifies installation. Due to this seal, the sensor is easily fixed in a single hole with a transverse groove and reliably held in the selected position. The guide spring helps to choose the correct position relative to the flame.

Main characteristics and features:

  • response to the spectrum of light of a yellow flame from a liquid fuel burner;
  • side (90°) and frontal visibility;
  • high level of spectral sensitivity (up to 600 nm);
  • length of the connected power cable made of thermoplastic – 680 mm;
  • protection against dust and moisture ingress, class IP 40;
  • operating temperatures (ambient air): -20...+60 °C; ;
  • for connection to the LAL/LMV/LOA/LMO combustion manager with an intermittent cycle.

Attention!

Siemens QRB1 flame sensors detect not only the spectrum of flame light, but also extraneous sources (fireclay brick, solar radiation, room lighting lamps in the boiler room, etc.), which requires the implementation of regulated protective measures for the safe operation of the furnace installation. ;

When installing and operating the device, icing, condensation, and moisture penetration into the housing are not allowed. All installation and maintenance work on the sensor can only be performed by a qualified specialist.

Advantages:

  • highly sensitive photoresistive element;
  • completion with a soft polymer insert;
  • frontal and side visibility;
  • built-in cable with protective thermoplastic insulation;
  • simplified installation, reliable positioning;
  • long service life;
  • wide range of operating temperatures.
